Saw this guy admiring the sunset from Brannon's Landing at Lake Conway. He's in shade while the sun is illuminating the cyprus across the lake. Great show for both of us!

D300; Nikkor 200-400VR; f5.6; +1/3 compensation; ISO 400.

I'm going to miss the color when it's gone!

I love the golden light! I believe that he enjoying the sunset. He probably sits in that spot every afternoon to watch the sun go down. Nice capture! Did the GBH eating a fish from the other day at Lawrence Landing turn out?

It's that perfect moment of light in the background. Very nice! Everyday I leave work, the sunsets have been so nice, but I'm so disgusted because I can't do anything about it! I'm glad you are able to enjoy! Great shot!

Orange is my very favorite color. Always has been. Looking at this picture just made my day!

I really like everything about this one, Dave - great color and composition, and plenty of detail in the heron. Beautiful work!

Nice pose of a regal bird. The background colors are splendid, but a bit strong. They could be toned down a bit to emphasize the bird in the FG.

Beautiful shot! I think Daniel's suggestion could help to make the bird stand out, but either way, very good shot.
