To Ashridge on Monday to catch some Fallow Deer, but also saw some of these - on a different scale to the Fallows!

Olympus E-3, 300mm, 1.4tc, 1/250s, f4, iso 400. Some s&h work.

Lovely setting and a nice pose: these are a very wary subject indeed!

Very nicely caught Mark. I have never seen one of these in the wild but understand they are very secretive and favour thick undergrowth so you have done well to capture this one in the open. Lovely autumnal setting and the deer is well placed in the frame. Like it.

Good image of a difficult subject. Seen a few around here but they make this guy look like a giant.

Nicely seen and taken. Well isolated and wonderful autumnal colours.

Lovely fall setting and use of backlight.
Funny looking species wich we do not have over here unfortunately.

The autumnal colours show nicely on this image. I do find however that because the subject sits in shade that a lot of the detail is lost.
