Another take on the swirly leaves and water groove I've been been flopping about in this damp autumn. This one is a bit wider view and, unlike the other images, I've excluded the fixed reference points of tree trunks and rowans etc. They are still there of course, just reflected, upside down, and slighty indistinct. The lovely thing about this type of imagery is that two consecutive shots are totally different, and all sorts of stuff can interfere with an individual frame's success, such as sudden breezes, leaping salmon, passing canoeists or small boys with stones. None of which happened in the 10 secs it took to get this one (although they were all present at various times)!

Canon 1D3, 70-200 f2.8 @ 200mm, polarizer, tripod, 10 secs @ f32, iso 100. Full frame, slight contrast increase.

I really like this John. I can imagine this on my wall. A very relaxing image. The only nit is that I would clone out the single bright leaf that intersects the right hand third line with the top third line. :jump: :toast:

Works nicely as far as I am concerned.

I love it, great feel of movement and the reflections top it all off beautifully........... it looks like it needs anti-clocking a bit though!

Hi John,

I think this one works a lot more than the previous image, for me at least. I really like the warm dominant colour and looking through it into the reflections is really nice.

I feel the same as Nigel re CCW rotation. Otherwise another lovely image with beautiful colours and movement.

Pretty good as a basis for a physics exam question too... bet you hadn't thought of that!
