This is am image from a great trip to Death Valley back in March. On my way to the mesquite dunes, I came across this scene. Any and all comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I like the play of light and shadow here. The textures and lines make this
work for me. Well done, Mike.
Mike, I always enjoy the different perspective of a shot like this. Nicely seen. Best Regards.

Mike,
Like Robert, I really like the play of light and shadows here. I also find the story within the story fascinating. What I mean is that cracked, dried mud, is itself, cracked and dried and falling apart. Not sure if that makes sense... :-) But good eye to recognize this intimate scene - it's a wonderful image.
Mike, I've seen a lot of takes on scenes like this from around the DVNP dunes, but this one is very well captured. In photography we always take major stock in the play of the light on subjects, this shot is an excellent example on the reason why.

I also like the interplay of light and shadows among the little ridge lines of the cracks. Nice pattern with the bigger lines, too. Well seen and executed.
Mike, this is very nicely done. The dark curves within the pattern of the mud flakes gives this a nice flow.
Good Job!

This is nicely composed and captured. The nice light really brings out the wonderful lines and shapes here. Did you happen to take any images in much tighter? I can see that making for a nice image too. Well done!
