Driving to work each morning this week, I have been admiring the amazing sunrises. I just had to get out this morning and try my hand at shooting.

This is really nice, Joe. I don't know if it's a color space issue, but it looks a little flat, like maybe it's posted in RGB and not sRGB, so it's not translating well. But I like the elements a lot. The tree on the right really counterbalances the mountains heading left very well.

I agree with Todd, although this does have the correct (sRGB) color space tagged onto it..
The foreground looks a bit too bright for the time of day when the sunrise sky was exposed.
A bit more contrast may be helpful. Is this a two image blend?

Thanks guys. Its not a blend, but I was using Aperture and the color space is probably set for my printer. Its pretty clear that I don't know what I'm doing, yet.

Nice scene, Joe. I'm not real fond of the cut off Yucca, but I like the rest. I drive to Boulder everyday too and have been drooling over some of the clouds I've been seeing this past week.

Sweet sunrise and perspective! I agree with Todd/John's comments... if it were mine I would try adding just a little bit more contrast and perhaps a little saturation too... but that's just my preference.
