Green Woodpecker + hide/pool shot
One from a week back before the rain scuppered everything. Thought i'd leave this with a bit more surround in as I reckon it conveyed the Autumny touch.

The yellows and greens compliment the Woody nicely John.

This is one that I am trying to photograph with no success yet.

Splendid... I think I have to agree with Andrew, this is the best I have seen of this species.

Arranging a bit of time off so may be up your way at the start of December, will be in touch...

Spot on, John. Wise decision to leave plenty of environment around it! Your really are a bird magnet, even at your age!

Every time I think you have taken a great green woodpecker picture, you suddenly come up with something even better. This is superb.

Superb John, very nice setting. Love the 3D feeling the use of a shorter focal length provided.

that is a really nice image John. The bird's pose is spot on and it looks in perfect condition too. I also like the autumnal feel to the bird's surroundings.

Nice to see the hide too.
