Here's a different angle of Roxborough State Park, taken over the Arrowhead Golf Course right after sunrise on Friday. I processed this as HDR to get detail in the clouds and the shadowed areas. I'll probably go back there again the next time it snows and hopefully find a little better angle that I can better hide the structures.
This location has a lot of potential, so if you can find an angle that eliminates the golf course (unless you want to see photos to the golf course) and a sunrise that is fitting for these rocks, you could have something special. Nice effort.

Terrific view! Those rocks are something special.

I can crop it to be a panorama, which is what I was considering doing the next time. I already have hundreds of photos from within the park, including many panoramas on my photo site. Here's my cropped version of the same photo.
I am also disappointed that my polarizer wasn't able to reduce the haze more than it did because of the angle to the sun.
Thanks for the feedback.

I really like the 2nd one. The pano format works well.

My vote is for the pano. Well done!

Sweet! I agree that the pano version works better as a photo, but I do like how the original shows the odd geology in context.

I love the contrast between the golf course, rocks and cloudy sky in the original image. I really get a sense of that sweet, soft morning light. Nice!

That's why I've put both versions on my site. My parents also loved the first version with the golf course and disliked the pano version. With trying to market my photos, it's sometimes very difficult to guess what might be more desirable. Of course, there's no reason not to market both kinds, except that the cropped pano version probably won't blow up very well. That's why I'll be going out to shoot the panorama version from the start, the next time the stars and clouds line up properly again.
