Lovely and well composed image. The natural framing of the reed is very nice. However, the image looks a bit blue on my monitor.

Your right Sandra and I know why. Doh.
Is this better.

Love the comp and the setting, the repost still seems to have a touch of blue ( a little strangely so) it could be that the shadows and highlights, in what appear to be damp conditions, are picking up the colour from a blue sky.... not at all sure.....

Nicely framed and well composed, makes a change to have a deer walking towards you.
Nice one

Much prefer the second image. Makes a lovely change from Red and Fallow. The reeds frame the image beautifully. :jump:

Definitely prefer the colours on the second version.

Cracking shot! Compostion and pose couldn't be better. I always find colour balance difficult, but I am still seeing blue in the deer's dark bits - maybe just me of course.

Hi Major,

Cracking shot! Love the comp. This whole blue cast business always amuses me, the sheen on dark coats (or wet noses) will often pick up the blue which is undoubtedly coming from the sky!!! Take a good look at subjects in the field and you will see this with the naked eye!

Cheers,

Lewis.

Hi Major,

While there's a touch of blue in there, presumably from an overcast sky, it's actually the greens I find a touch lurid. Just knock the saturation back and the colours look better all round. What time did you take the shot?

Lovely subject, and great to get them facing you :toast:.
