Fallow Bucks fighting
Another shot from the fighting sequence I got last week, this shot was taken just as I had got into position and I was half expecting them to break up like they usually do but this time they carried on for another ten minutes, it was great to watch.

Canon 1DS MK11, 500mm lens, F4, 1/2500, ISO 200

PS I have finally had my screen calibrated and was looking back at some of the stuff I have put up lately and boy was that out, hopefully this is now what the colours should look like.

Great light, strong 3D feel, perhaps some motion blur required to give a sense of action?
Nice though.

Interesting shot Danny. The left Buck looks like he,s got a bent antler. Colour looks ok to me.
Cheers

100 views and only one comment?! Gorgeous light and great point of view. Foreground is just right. Technically flawless (as always) but needs a bit of blood or mud flying. Are they fighting or tickling each other's ears? I agree with Tim about some blur, but if the one on the left had adopted the same body position as his adversary, that would have helped.

The light is really lovely here and it is an appealling image but I agree with Ian that it is a bit static, especially the left hand deer. Do you have any others that really show the effort these chaps are putting in?

Which one won?

It looks like it's going to be a bit of a one sided fight.

Works well matey, but I'd rather have the other, tighter shot.

Which one won?

The one on the right, on points!

Guess that is one problem shooting wide open all the time  no motion blur....

I somehow prefer this one, from a viewpoint perspective but the first for the more intimate view....

I can't believe you have only just calibrated and profiled your monitor

A really nice shot Danny, but prefer the earlier post in closeup.
