Beautiful cloud formations yesterday. I liked the way they matched the swan's feathers. I cloned out some telephone wires and other "distractions" on the ground. Almost forgot I had this lens
Love it! I'd be really interested to see this in B&W. Well seen!

Good job you found it then Ian. Thats very nice and perticularly like how the cloud formation funnels down to the main subject.

John, I did consider it and even had a go, but I've no experience in B/W and couldn't make it pop. If anyone wants to give it a try, I'd love to see it.
Just brilliant in both colour and monochrome. Imagine if that was by the water!

Hi Ian,
Lovely shot, the cloud formations really make it! The shadow across the bird from the wing is a little annoying, but nothing you could do there, I too like them both.
Cheers,
Lewis.

What a corker! It's great to see what you can do with these everyday park beasts.
Fantastic!

Hope you don't mind, Ian, but I have done a b & w version of my own. I darkened the blues in the sky before a b&w conversion, then upped the contrast. Finally I burned some detail back into the plumage of the swan. I am not sure whether it will look any different to John's version once posted, but thought I would give it a go. Colour version is great b.t.w.
One word... superb, mono or colour, both are great its the clouds that make it for me, glad you remembered you had that lens.

Superb one Ian. I like the mono version the best and another great treatment of a common subject

I think the mono works very well indeed and very well seen and taken.. I love the lens for this kind of work and I hope to do a lot more of this kind of thing myself. Very inspiring.
