Another Coal Tit
D80
50-500mm
1/400s
f6.3
ISO 200
-1.0 EV
Tripod

Not sure about the composition but unfortunately had quite a lot of light blue at the top of the image.

Hi Maggie,

Def a Coal Tit as Mark says, but very nice shot, just a shame there isn't more of a catch light in the eye. Comp is fine for me, detail, colour and bg are great!

Cheers,

Lewis.

Well caught Maggie, they normally give you 1 milli sec, it's coming up to small bird season.

Nice, agree about the catchlight, another small nit (again this is probably more personal preference) is that I would prefer a more delicate perch for this delicate bird.

It's a very nice Coal Tit, I'm just curious to know what you thought it was. I guess if the Coal Tit chose that perch he must have liked it.

Hello Maggie.

Nice capture of the Coal Tit and a super background to set it off.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Kim I thought it was a Marsh Tit. I had taken several images of them but must have deleted them as no good. Still thankfully the Coal Tits turned out alright

Hi Maggs- Marsh tit is usually confused with Willow tit - Marsh has a scruffy bib and Willow is quite neat and tidy :wavey:

Nice comp and BG :wavey:
