Looks like fall color is winding down. There are still some nice maples and ginkgo's around Conway but most are losing their leaves rather quickly. I floated the North Cadron on Saturday and it looks like the dead of winter up there. Anyway I spent about an hour this evening gathering up leaves in the yard and taking pictures. It is amazing how wrapped up I can get taking pictures of a few of my neighbors leaves.

BTW this is a jpeg from the camera resized and sharpened for the web.

Nice leaf detail, Matthew.

Mathew,
I would be very proud of this one. The colors compliment each other perfectly.

Well now that's a nice capture. I especially like the edges of some of the darker leaves...

Very nice Matt. I spent about 30 minutes when we were at Petit Jean taking pictures of one leave in various poses with my macro. The things we do! Have you seen that ginko by the baseball house at UCA? It is beautiful as always.

Matt that's a nice backyard photography image. Well done it's sharp and has nice detail. "Coming to an end" might mean we have some raking to do in the yard also.

thanks everyone.Yea Karla that Ginkgo by the baseball house is great. There is another one on Salem just south of Tyler that always looks great but its leaves are long gone now.

Yea Gale my yard is pretty covered up with leaves. Sucking up leaves with our big mowers is all I have been doing at work for the past two weeks.

Nice Matthew, leafscapes are a big favorite of mine and this is a fine example of why. Looks really nice.

Beautiful shot, I really love the color combination in this shot as well as the texture on the leaves in the background.

Very fine shot for all the reasons already mentioned. One small point is that I find myself wanting to see the same wonderful textures in the upper right of the image as are found along the other sides.

That seem way prettier than is should be! The way you processed it is perfect. Could it be the clarity slider that is making this pop so much?

Jpeg from camera Aaron. I did resize and sharpen for web of course.

Wow! Why process RAW when that look so good out of the camera...

The RAW is very helpful if you need to do a lot of editing or want to print very large, but when I do my part with the shooting and have a pretty easy scene the jpegs look pretty good. I do have the DNG RAW files for future use of course.
