Bit of a shock to see you photographing birds  Where was this taken? I didn't think they would survive in the wild for long.

Thanks for the comments folks. :wavey:

Maggie, sorry to shock you. Ornithilogical subjects are not really my thing (Not enough stamina to sit in hides for hours on end  ) unless something really unusual presents itself. It was taken yesterday in one of my neighbours' front garden. It is very wary but it will allow you to get fairly close if it knows you.

No Ian it is an escapee (first seen August 2006) and has stayed in this area ever since.

Craig I tried to get a bit more level but it was having none of it keeping on moving out of the way. "Lest We Forget" it's a shame that so many ignore the lessons of the past, specially now with the threat of CCC (Catastrophic Climate Change) with us. :frown: :frown:

This is worth a view IMHO

I saw a program on this a few months back just after his death,a lovely man,so calm and dignified, his face told a thousand tales and you could see the pain/things he'd seen in his face :frown: We cannot talk about these things David on here as last time people complained and I removed my cap badge and motto as I was shocked, upset, you will have to email me if ever you want to know anything or I can help,in the mean time 'Less We Forget' :wavey:
