I visited the Georgetown herd this morning and met Kurt Bowman while up there - Kurt's new Canon was firing like crazy!
The sheep were pretty laconic and there were only two head butts by my count. There was good lip curl, air and butt sniffing activity going on though. Kurt's observation that they don't do much until the sun hits them was interesting too - several nice rams came down the second the sun hit them. There was also the obligatory moron, a lady who decided to push the animals away from all of the other people in order to get close with her short lens. Thanks lady, may your bighorn karma be bittersweet.
Full disclosure on the attached image: Cropped square to eliminate part of a ram and part of a ewe, rest of the ewe cloned out ~ 25% crop. Shot with 80-400 Nikon, which is plenty of lens most of the time.

Nice head shot. I like how you completely blurred the background. He looks p.o.ed. Maybe mad at the lady. I live near Yellowstone. It blows my mind what people will do to get a photo.

Great close up. It's amazing how ignorant some people can be. They're WILD animals, people! lol. This is a nice image.
