Aspens in the snow
Here is another from the meetup...suggestions for improving the image appreciated.

Tony, good to see some nice color here as the time frame of the CANP outing things were very lean on overall aspen color change on the east side.
Not sure I could offer up much about change for improvement though. I will say the framing is tight and it would have been nice to have slightly more of the upper left aspen leaves/branches in that area. Beyond that idea not too much thought about changes however.

Tony,

This is an excellent capture of the fall color and mixed with the season's first snow. Everything looks great here in terms of color, contrast, saturation, etc. The only minor thing I can think of is wishing for a little more room on the left so the aspen wasn't cut off. But it's not a distraction and I suspect there was a reason for it. I don't know that there's anything else you could improve on.

Tony,

This very nice. I love the color and fresh snow combo! Great find.

The one suggestion I would make is to tone down the whites just a bit which appear a bit hot/clipping. This may be due to the higher contrast, not sure.

Tony,

I agree with Lon and Paul regarding the tightness on the left side. I think the overall balance would be better if there was more space on the left, but you may have had no choice. You might want to deepen the blacks just a bit; the mid-tones and the high values look just fine. The color of the trees is spot on.

Man seeing conditions like this makes me wish I had made it to the meetup all the more. I really enjoy the variation in color and sense of depth captured here. Other than maybe slightly different compositions, I can't think of anything I would really change here. Nice work!

Nice Sierra aspen scene, Tony. The dusting of snow sure was great that weekend.
