Here's another xenolith abstract from Lee Vining Canyon when Chris Chamberlain and I were wandering around there.

Hey Preston, this is very nice again. Overall, at least from what I see on my monitor, the post processing is better then the first scene(s) you had from this general area. I also feel your angle of view here like the previous one(s) seems to flow nicely on a diagonal from the URHC to the LLHC. The post processing, film, scan, light, camera field adjustments and the overall combination provides very good detail with the general rock formation and structure. I'm not sure if it's my monitor or the change up in film you used, but the red/orange seems pretty strong, but I'm sure you verified that with the original. Otherwise, "printer-up".

Preston,

I pretty much echo everything Paul just wrote. Just about everything in this image is better than your previous image (I believe these were also taken on different days and different times if memory serves me correct.) Like Paul said, from processing to presentation, this one works very nicely. I even think the comp and arrange of elements is better. The semi-round dark area makes a nice resting place for the eye. Looks great! I'll look forward to seeing a print one day.

PB,

I really like what is going on in the bottom 70% of the image. I am on the fence about the top right corner. I will have to look at this more, especially on my home monitor (if I ever get my computer back from the shop). The processing and presentation are spot-on! The colors and detail really pop nicely and look great. Your web presentation is definitely working.

It's funny. I like the first one better. I have trouble with the processing and color of this.

I like the way my eye flows from the LLC up to the URC in this image. Nice arrangement of colors and shapes. Works for me as presented.

A text book geology image, but better. I like the arrangement of xenoliths.
