Nearly !
Ladybird at takeoff. Tried most of the day on this whilst it pelted down outside. Tried the Sigma 150 macro but couldn't get the depth I wanted. Ended up with the 50 mm Sigma and a 4x close up.

Not sharp but its a start I suppose !
D200
On board flash f22

There are some cracking macro shots on here tonight. Really like this. Everything is crisp with a nice background (you seem to have a couple of dust spots on the right of the image above and below the wing).

Thanks Ian.
I forgot to mention - I used a two times converter too. That really brings out the bunnies ! Thought I;d got most of them !

I admire your patience, John. A very nice POV and good timing to get the wings as they are.
You've made a good start with some room for improvement.

The macro shots I see on here never cease to amaze me. Having tried this kind of stuff numerous times I've never been lucky enough to get anything approaching this quality of image. The realization is slowly dawning on me that its not luck that I'm short of, its ability and skill! Hats off to you John for a shot that will remain unobtainable for me. Excellent work.
