Saturday Nov. 14 was the first feedercount day for the winter. I thought I'd report here what came to our feeders, partly to encourage others to participate in this modest citizen science effort.

Black-capped Chickadee - 15
Boreal Chickadee - 5
Common Redpoll - 1
Downy Woodpecker - 3
Hairy Woodpecker - 2
Grey Jay - 2
Pine Grosbeaks - 5
Ruffed Grouse - 1
Common Raven - 1

Except for Hoary Redpoll, who are still foraging on birch mast in the treetops, that's pretty much all you can expect to see here on the hillsides in the winter. Other than accidentals, the only other usual wintering birds are Northern Shrike and Northern Goshawk, both of which are uncommon.

Anyone else participate?

Jim, I try to help out with the Christmas birdcount, but hadn't heard of the feedercount.
Here's what I've seen at the feeder:
Black-capped Chickadee- 18
Boreal Chickadee- 1
Common Redpoll- 5 (this was the first day I'd seen any of these)

That's it so far; last year I had quite a few (15-20) Grosbeaks.
