Bay bolete
A nice fresh Bay bolete from last week. Hope you like it.
Nkon D70s with Sigma 150/f2.8 macro, iso 200, f 3.2, 1/200 sec on a beanbag. Built-in flash.

I like the idea very much indeed, I have to be honest, I have photographed many fungi and have yet to try them with mush. I think it might have been a little better with some more room around, certainly an image that has me thinking about a different way...

I really like the soft focus. Well done Sandra.

I really like the soft focus in the foreground and background which sets off the gleam on the fungi. Very nice indeed. :toast:

Getting down real low and that f3.2 has worked really well here.

Very nice indeed, the shallow DoF works well and the BG has nice complimentary colours.
Minor nit is that I would use the clone tool to tickle out the hair thats stuck on the underside right.

Nits covered. Stunning shot and love the soft focus. Beautiful tone throughout.

It certainly has an ethereal glow to it Sandra. Well executed but I can't quite make my mind up on this one.

This is a superb image Sandra, the clours are beautiful, like your comp too.

I like it Sandra. My only minor nit is that the OOF foreground grass(?) is obscuring the toadstool a bit on the left. Otherwise a perfect shot!

Thanks everyone, for your comments and cloning suggestions.
@ Nigel: it isn't a hair but a fine crack or something.
