In addition to the gratitude I've expressed to everyone who commented on my image in the ES&S Gallery, I would like to extend that gratitude specifically to include the ES&S Gallery moderator(s) as well as Donna and/or Jim for selecting my image as this week's ES&S Editor's Pick, and also more generally to all of the NPN staff and gallery moderators and forum moderators for their invaluable effort and dedication. I would also like to congratulate all of the other Editor’s Pick selectees this week on their superb compositions. What with all of the outstanding images posted to the ES&S Gallery this week, and also considering the high number of beautiful images from Zion, I am honored and humbled that my image was chosen. To reiterate comments I made following the overwhelming response to the image, this and other photographs I made at the Left Fork this year, after a seven year absence, are in large part the result of a goal I set for myself about six months ago to get back into the physical condition necessary to be confident in my ability to accomplish this challenging hike with relative ease. The fact that I achieved this goal so successfully that I was able to complete the hike two times within less than a week, amazingly with even greater ease the second time I might add, and that the chosen image was captured during that second hike, serves to enhance my sense of personal accomplishment. And of course, to be able to share my photography with the wonderful NPN community, and to be exposed to a much greater extent to the unlimited talent and experience found here, is an immeasurable benefit. Thank you!
