This is a shot from the shoreline of Tuttle Creek Lake near the Broken Arrow Ranch. I hadn't been to this area in a long time and had forgotten about it until I ran into a fellow photographer who had just come from there a few weekends ago. Most of the shoreline at Tuttle is rocky and not very "user friendly" but this section is all sand. It was really peaceful out there...

Really beautiful. I love the warm tones conveyed in the sand and the composition really pulls it all together. Nice shot!

Great composition. I like the warm colors. They go well with the calm water, rare in windy Kansas. The foreground log and foliage add greatly. Good stuff.

Beautiful image, Scott. I love the warm colors, and the diagonal shoreline with the off-center sunburst creates a strong composition. The log and leaves make great FG elements, and the details in the sand are great. My only suggestion is to clone out the tiny lens flare right below the tree leaves on the lower left. Great work!

Thanks everyone. Can't wait to get back out to this location, I think it has a lot of potential. I'd really like a moon set photo from here.

Just wonderful light Scott. I love the subtle details of the ripples in the water and the foreground elements are very good. The footprints detract just a bit but I still like this very much as is. Great find!
