I was able to get it for under $6000 for two people including airfare. It seems to have lots of good photo stops. If anyone else was interested it might be interesting to share and organize taxies to take us to different photo spots in the various ports. I am not a travel agent or professional photographer nor am I looking to make reservations for anyone (No Personal Profit Motive). I am just looking to possibly identify a like minded group to travel on this trip.
It would be good if a group of photographers wanted to go. We could no doubt gather informally and turn it into a photo adventure.

Wife & I are condsidering Iceland and Greenland for next summer. We're really not tour people though. I want to rent a sea kayak in Greenland and paddle around some glaciers one day. Otherwise, that's about it for me in a boat. I get seasick. The cruise you mentioned above has a lot of stops. That would probably let you scout out many different places. Our strategy is to concentrate more on just a couple of spots. I really want to get deep into the interior of Iceland, and see some of the Inuit towns in far northwestern Greenland. I think you've probably picked the warmest time to go. We're thinking of maybe June so there'll still be plenty of icebergs. Icebergs and cruise ship might not be a great combination.

Actually interested in the scenario. Where are you flying from? What type of rooms do you have..balcony, window only, inside cabin etc. Who did you book it through....? Dave McGann

Kent, if you want to go deep into the interior in Iceland, June may be a bit early unless you have a VERY high clearance vehicle due to high water in all the rivers and even then most roads may be closed. I went for three weeks, June 17-July 7 and only in the last few days was I able to get into the interior.

Thanks for the info. We're in the "checking it out phase" right now.
