Birds Nest Fungi
Taken a few weeks ago, I thought this was a little different from the usual fungi.

I was particularly pleased with this as it shows the various stages of growth of this rather rare fungi variety.

40D, 180mm, ISO 400, f14,1/3 sec. Cropped for comp.

Regards,

Fran :toast:

Wow never seen these before. They are spectacular. I think I would have preferred it minus the top three but you have to take it how you find it and obviously they couldn't be removed. Although as you say it does show the various stages of the fungi so perhaps they are better included. Its not that I can't make my mind up - its just that I'm indecisive

Well well, live and learn, what extraordinary fungi, find it hard to get into fungi but really enjoyed these, thanks for sharing.

I have come across some of these recently and they are easily overlooked so well done finding and capturing these so well!

Taken from the right angle. Like Maggie I can't make my mind up whether the top three need to be removed or not. I guess it just depends on what you want the picture to be.

I've never even heard of these. I would crop the image to a near square taking out the top three fungi to just above the 'good' examples and then just clone out the remainder of the 'old' fungi. Just a thought.
Robert.
