Amazing Nat Geo Images

This is hands down one of the coolest things I've seen lately. Perhaps some of you have seen it before. This National Geographic photographer is either totally insane or extremely brave. The images are unreal.

One of Nicklen's incredible photos of this seal was a memorable image in this year's Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition:

For anyone who has ever felt slighted by contest judges, consider that this image was not a winner, but only highly commended.

Incidentally, while the species isn't always aggressive toward humans, a Leopard Seal has killed at least one diver off the Antarctic Peninsula (2003).
