I figured that I haven't posted for a while now. So thought of posting one. This was taken last year in the central pacific cost (i think the one near the light house). I converted this to B&W which much represents the chaotic mood of the scene I saw.
what do you think ?

Hey Debjit,
Good to see you back! This is a excellent shot with a lot of powerful lines and great foreboding sky! The low angle and slower shutter speed really help to add to the drama of the scene. Nicely done!
BTW, I was out shooting Garrapata and Point Lobos this AM again before work. There was some similarities in the sky early on (foreboding). But then it cleared up. I was actually hoping for the rain. We'll have to do some shooting again some time in Big Sur - wait for the bad weather.

Thanks Derek. Yes, we need to shoot more on the big sur coast - it has enormous possibilities, especially as winter is approaching. I will shoot you an email shortly regarding some places I found.
Lots of drama and action in this excellent B&W, Debjit.

Debjit,
This is awesome, and a fantastic b&w. The sky is foreboding, as is the somewhat turbulent sea. But mostly I love the contrast and action in the surf; great motion everywhere. Just terrific.
Nice to see you post this - I would post in ES&S too!

Cool image! I really like the drama and energy. Good job on the conversion.
If you don't mind sharing, I would like to hear about some decent spots on the Big Sur coast. I like to head up there in the winter. It is peaceful and not very crowded in the winter. I have not found that many good places to shoot, though.

Thanks Paul, Lon and harley.
Lon, i will post in ESS but I haven't posted there for a while now. need to be back on track.
Harley - I am not very familiar with the entire big sur stretch, which is very photogenic, and yet to explore more on this area. these are what i have found so far - garapatta state beach, point lobos, pfeiffer state beach. I am sure there are lot more and other can chime in.

This is appropriately titled and is appealing in B/W. Well done, Debjit!

Rockin' shot! Love the way the cloud formation and water movement comes together here. No nits here... well done!

A fine b&w image Debjit. Love the shapes and contrasts in the flowing water.
Wonderful photo, Debjit! The B&W treatment works really well, here. I like the sense of convergence in the lines of the waves and the clouds; its very dynamic!
Well done!

Really outstanding photo Debjit! The strong contrast works amazingly well with the subject, and I love the play off the foreground and sky
