This arrangement of muscles reminded me of a bunch of dominoes that had gracefully fallen down. I thought it might make for an interesting image to study in a large print.
As always, any comments, suggestions or critiques are always welcomed.
Cheers!

It certainly does have that look to it doesn't it? Creative find!
Well named Eric, although I thought I'd see some kind of pizza shaped item here.
A unique look at some often overlooked objects for photographic opportunities. I think the wide angle view works well too with the edge drop off appearance or crowning towards the center a bit.
I really like this. It has a nice flow and lots of detail. I think you a wonderful job with your intimate shots like these.

Must have been a good low tide Eric. I like the flow of the mussel groups and their eroded textures this must have been an exposed rocky point. Nice capture and reflective of the intertidal rocky shore community.

pretty nice find Eric and appropriately titled. how about the frame filled with all the dominoes ? would it look more abstract ?

Eric,
While muscles aren't the most attractive creatures in the world... you've crafted an excellent and intimate composition that simply flows wonderfully. The graphics, repeating patterns and curves really make this image stand out. Great eye!

Mmmm, mercury. Doesn't everything along the beaches out here in LA full of mercury?
Nice pattern finding Eric. The curver makes it for me.

Thanks for the feedback all.
Debjit, the day after I posted this I sat for about an hour trying all different crops and even other comps and never found anything that really spoke to me. I agree, I think there is a better crop, but I just need to find it.
Steve, I hear if you soak something in enough garlic butter it neutralizes the mercury.
