Hi,

Returned to St. Margarets Bays here on the Kent Coast with the promise of even more stormy weather with a better tide, conditions were still not as extreme as forecast, they did improve though and still working through those images.

Of the images I have worked so far this is one of my favourites especially as I am outside of my comfort zone and I am really trying to further explore landscapes...

All the best

I am well outside my comfort zone with landscapes. I just know what I like and I must say I like this very much. A very nice interpretation of a storm brewing. Very atmospheric indeed. :wavey:

I quite like this Phil but I think the storm is perhaps a little subtle, at least at this small size. If the sky were a bit more dramatic it would help.

I know this spot quite well and am always intrigued by the small man-made 'hut' in the cliff face which is visible in your image.

You did very well Phil and very well processed. I haven't even opened any of mine yet.. Still drying out..! I hope that I might have one or two like this and I will be very pleased. Great to catch up again. It was so nice to get out and about as it seems so very long since I pointed my camera at anything..

I think Matt is right on the drama front (not your fault) but the copmposition, exposure and processing are (of course) to your ususal high standards in spite of the lack of comfort!

Presented to your usual high standard Phil, I have a very similar shot the only difference is that you are in the foreground getting your feet wet!!
Is that a DB I can see near the top of the frame just left of centre?

Good job you didn't visit Hastings as I did! The wind blew so much it wouldn't let me out of my car!!

So I am jealous of this, a superb shot as always.
