The herring gull was cruising the guillemot colonies, I heard the distress calls of the guillemots as the gull passed the colony. It did three tours of the colony before making its move.
After the first pass I was watching the gull as it came around half expecting it to attack, when it made the third pass it dropped into the guillemot colony I was ready for it and got the picture.
I like the image of guillemots looking up at the marauding bird carrying the chick away (perhaps like is the wrong word)
Very nice. Do you have anything wider? Some people might not like this but the gulls only going down the shops, nothing more or less.

Hi Ron,
Now that for me is a nature shot, this captures more than just a creature it captures life (or death) in the wild, the guillemots looking up make the shot.

WOW, that's a really really good shot. Great you included all the Guillemots watching. Amazing!!!!! Wait until Danny sees this. He hates gulls doing this:)

Like it Ron, especially the watchers which tell the story.

Wonderful image! I agree a tad more of the guillemots would be good, but that's very minor.

A really splendid NH image with some super details and the G's at the bottom really does make the shot. Very well seen and captured.
