Grey Seal
Hi Guys,

Been very busy with fighting off the Flu and therefor had not had much time to post or comment recently. Finally feel a bit better and been able to go through my files from the recent UK trip.
Here's one of the Grey Seals i photographed at Donna Nook. This one was treathning a rival and working with my home made "ground -pod" gave me a nice low POV.

More stuff from my recent France and UK trips on my weblog: http://jeroenstel.blogspot.com/

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

A great point of view Jeroen and it looks like you're amongst the action and possibly getting very wet.. Nice detail and you can see the whites in her eyes which shows her frustration.

I like the low POV and you've catptured the expression well - but personally I prefer some of your shots on your weblog (especially the seal "waving" goodbye)

cheers

Lovely shot - like the POV very much.

Jeroen the POV is spot on for me, as you almost feel that you are in there with the seal. To have a bit of action works well too. BTW Is the tide rolling back towards the seal? :toast:

Hi Jeroen,

I've been waiting to see the results from your trip and I'm not disappointed. Perhaps a little more room on the left would portray the context a little better. As it is it could just be intepreted as the seal yawning.

I'm going to nip onto the blog and see what else you've got :-)

Cheers,

Chris

The seal really looks like it means business, especially showing the white of it's eye.Very nice Jeroen.

Very nice PoV and a good expression.

As an observation, perhaps the crop is too tight? As a viewer I don't know what the animal is reacting to - I'm guessing there is a male getting too close but that is because I'm familiar with the species? It isn't an issue because the image works well, but I'm intrigued about why the animal is being aggressive - because I don't know, I'm left feeling that the image is only telling part of the story.

I probably think about things too much!

Nice shot, cheers,
Chris
