Hello,
My travels took me up the East Coast last week, the one reasonable day allowed me to get out in some nice light. This little fella seems happy
Techs:
D3 + 500 f4 with 1.4 TC (700mm)
1/800 second @ f8 on Monopod
ISO 400
about 80% of original
cheers for looking
Colin.

LOL! Made me smile.. Nice isolation and a different bit of habitat on the sand dunes which is what I expect from the east coast colonies.. The tongue just adds that extra humour. If I was to comment to critique I would say it's a shame about the horizontal seal behind it's head but you can't have everything and for me that's what you expect in a colony.
Nice work indeed.

Great shot Colin and brilliant expression. Couple of dust spots to the right of the pup but these are easily sorted. Must have picked a great day to be up there considering the weather at the moment!

Lovely texture to the fur but what on earth has happened to the facial detail which seems to have taken on a quite unrealistic tone.

Very comical.
I think I would spend some time on the BG.

A very appealing shot, Colin. As others have already said, that tongue makes it. You do have a lot of wasted space above the subject. I can understand why you would not want anything extra at the bottom of the frame and I therefore wonder if a crop off the top to make a slightly more panoramic shot might improve it still further.
