Here's a few images from the South West trip I took in Oct/Nov. I went on a trip with Rene (that guy can eat!) and ran into Jody and Scott at Horseshoe Bend. We had breakfast at Denny's and decided to shoot Antelope Canyon. Here are some images from the trip. It was really fun, it was my first time at "LAC". Critiques and comments appreciated!

It seems I didn't use the best method for web preparation here...any how I have a few more I'll post if I can get a better web presentation down. Thanks for looking!

Very nice photos! I think Tumbleweed would have to be my favorite but they are all great.

I like the pumpkin truck best because it's unique.
The pumpkin truck is indeed a fun shot! I like the contrast between the red hoodoos and the white wall in the first image; very cool spot. Tumbleweed is definitely my favorite of the Antelope Canyon shots.

Wow, great collection. #2 is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Another vote for the pumpkin truck! But when I look at it, I see some interesting photos within the photo, where you could crop in and use bits and pieces instead of the whole thing.

All of these are excellent shots, Art. Good to see you posting some photos. How about more often?

TC-I appreciate cropping feedback and I did take a shot of the lower crop suggestion-let me know what you think of the camera's 3:2 ratio.

Great cropping suggestions!
If you were to use that 3:2 ratio, I would consider cropping to center the front grille.
That works real well on his suggested crop with windows.

The abstracts of the orange and green have endless possibilities, which I did capture quite a few of- it's interesting seeing what you (as a photographer) shoot then pass over as candidate images for presentation yet other people find intriguing. I do have a bottom crop from the shoot in a 4:5 ratio from another image. But it is a nature forum!

I love that Turret Arch and N. Window image, Art. Unique and quite a beauty.

Tumbleweed and Pumpkin Truck are fantastic. I like the tighter comps on the truck best. With tumbleweed, the bright area at the top is a little distracting; don't know how best to go about pulling that in a little, but if you can, it would be worth the effort imo.

Absolutely love the pumpkin truck images. Great find. All of the other images are very solid ... Tumbleweed is my favorite. Great work.

I'm just catching up on posts here and saw this. Wow, you came away with some real winners. I too like the idea of some more close up shots of the pumpkins and truck. The last one you posted was my favorite of the whole series!
