I just got done visiting the member web site listing here at NPN and how times have changed.
It wasn't that long ago I remember reading posts in this forum about blogs and whether they're worth having. It would seem a great deal of NPN members now have blogs... well at least compared to the 5 or 6 that existed when the member listing first went live. Many I check in regularly to and others are new to me. I'm going to have to do some web surfing this weekend to see who else is now blogging and what they're discussing.
As many of you know I'm a big fan of self-publishing and I've found a great deal of value both creatively and personally in writing and sharing my photography through blogs. It's no easy task so I'm inspired by the exploration of blogs by those that frequent NPN. Kudos to all of my fellow photo bloggers and have a great Thanksgiving weekend, assuming you're in the US... otherwise have a great weekend

Jim,
This is a great post as many people, including myself strive to know how a particular image was captured. Many times getting to or creating the image, the story behind it, could be a book in itself. While creating an image that lets the viewer feel or experience that particular moment is our ultimate goal...the creation is often twice as riviting thus enhancing the image further...nice.
I strive to learn from others and their work as much as I possibly can, never stop learning...great site!
Thanks again to all,
