.. Don't you get that feeling some mornings that you wake up between a rock and a hard place..? Just a bit of fun I guess and glad you enjoyed the little black seal.

I know the way he is feeling. It made me smile, but I do wonder if you need all of that oof foreground. A little off the bottom maybe?

Thanks David but for me it seemed to unbalance the image when I did that but I guess it's another of those personal taste things. Cropping for me just didn't give it a sense of place but I take your valid point. However, this is where he was sleeping and is typical of the island geography and I was at a lower vantage point.

Great pose and hooray for using what you where given.
A really nice image Brett and nice to see a seal image set in grass and bracken! I don't find the oof foreground too heavy but I wonder if your use of a shadowed border pulls the eye down a bit.

Hi Brett.
Do Seals drink ? Brett i like it a lot.
Keith.

Hi Keith, yes they do.. Whilst the majority of the fluid intake is via the food they eat they will drink given the opportunity. I have witnessed seals drinking in freshwater/brackish pools at haulout sites.
Kind regards and thanks

Hello Brett.
Very nice and made me smile, dont care about the OOF foreground the seal on its own is what makes it for me.

The coats on these pups look like silk.

Great shot Brett, I like the 'bed', the pose of course, and the colours of foreground, subject and background work very well together.
