Lovely action captured here, more room to the right would have been brillant but sometimes its nice to break those compositon rules  BG needs leveling/ccw ,lovely action   :wavey:

Isn't it normally the drake that does the chasing?

This is a 'nearly' shot for me Marek - great feeling of action but my enjoyment is interupted by the lack of detail in the drake's head - it is too dark. Maybe selectively lightening this area would help?

Cheers,
Chris

I'm afraid this doesn't work for me Marek. I find the composition awkward though I can see where you were going by wanting the water splash in shot. If the idea is to illustrate the duck chasing the drake (?) then I would need to see more of the duck. As Chris mentions, there is a lack of detail on the drakes head and in particular I cannot see the eye which for me will always kill an image. Again as Chris states, a nearly shot and one I would keep in my head to try to improve on.

So nearly there, a little rotation counter clockwise and some extra detail in the head are all it needs. Personally I am not worried about the lack of room on the right, worth it to have all that churned up water behind the bird.

This really needed a good dose of in-fill flash to countract the head shadow and the harsh side lighting- and the flash would also have put the crucial highlight into the eye.

I doubt if any detail in the head can be lifted successfully in PS or equivelent processing.

Shame there is no wing movement to go with the bathing action - it looks a touch wooden as is

Composition is fine by me and the low angle is great. Shame about the shadow on the head - this happens with my shots all too often :frown:
