Good light, good perch, clean BG, and a very nice bird.

No nits from me. I like it.

Nice Image Phil, these birds are not easy to catch. They never keep still.

Well done

Very nice image Phil. Surprisingly good DOF for a lens of that length. I'm shooting my Nuthatches on a 100-300 zoom and still struggle with decent DOF. LOvely perch and the background is pleasingly and subtley highlighted around the bird.

Great image, I like the low viewpoint and the clean background. It is, for me, a little large in the frame, but that is a matter of personal taste and I know that many will disagree.

Nice pose, great background. Never seen one of these and I wonder if it could do with brightening a little? Also, I would be tempted to touch up the bare bits on the perch. I might also go for a bit more space. (Not trying to be overcritical, but just responding to recent thread about meaningful comments!)

Hi Phil,

lovely Nutty well exposed and very nice smooth background :toast:

I dont mind it big in frame but would be tempted to crop a bit off the LHS .
To get rid of the bit of leaf, and also give a little more space for it to look into.
