Arctic Tern in flight
Another shot on the Farne Islands in Northumberland UK. I love these beautiful little terns, full of aggression and character. Their plumage is stunning. The day was fine and sunny, lovely deep blue sky

They can be a little tricky to catch just right in flight but I just love trying

ISO 200, 17-85 (45mm) zoom, f5.6 1/1000sec

Certainly a nice shot Ron, but it looks like either a very big crop or you've upsized it when you saved it.

Great pose but image quality as seen here is not great. Was it a large crop?

A beautiful pose, but the sky looks very noisy. :frown:

Agree with the above, the bird does not look sharp and there is a lot of noise in the BG, sorry. :wavey:

HI guys many thanks for the comments. I have checked what I have uploaded and I have up-sized a smaller web picture which has caused the pixelation.

I've made a complete horlicks of it

You just can't get the staff

I will re-post later today

Many thanks for you comments
