Hi everyone, I haven't been posting recently, but I thought it would be fun to post some of my most recent shots at Crex Meadows of the sandhill cranes.
Thanks for the image must be fun to watch. I will have to make an effort to get around some in the future.

Nice pose on the bird in the center. It sure is fun watching the birds at Crex.

Thanks Phil, Im glad I was able to bring back some decent shots. I was using a 70-200 with a 2x teleconverter, and it was in very low lighting, but despite the loss of light from the 2x, the lens did pretty well. I also posted some other crane shots in the avian and photo art galleries
As Phil said, nice pose on the bird in the middle.
Best place I'm aware of for sandhill cranes (outside of Kearny, NE) is Jasper-Pulaski, in NW Indiana. At the peak of migration there are roughly 15,000 cranes on site.
