I took this picture of a gannet on Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth Scotland. I looking at it from time to time and the more I see it the more I think its the ugliest bird I have ever seen. It has a face only a mother could love. It has warts on its bill and a very strange pair of eyes.
I just thought I would share and get some opinions on it. and perhaps some more nominees for the title.

Looks like the gannet might have conjunctivitis... it is appearing in seabirds more frequently and what is a mere annoyance for us is deadly to wil birds

This turkey vulture is my suggestion as ugly bird, even though they are one of the most graceful flyers in this area. Taken of a T. vulture used in education programs at the Wildlife Prairie State Park.

This thread is GREAT! WHen I read the title I was thinking probably Gonzo from the Muppets
But these shots are really great. I don't shoot much wildlife so, please, everyone, keep more coming! I find this surprisingly entertaining.
