I thought the sunrise might turn out pretty good with the forecast for partly cloudy skies, so I went down to the bridge that crosses Castlewood Canyon and grabbed a few shots. The first 2 are 2 exposure blends for sky and foreground. The third was after the color was gone, the fourth was looking west, and the last was a detail of some of the cliffs.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

A really nice collection of images Morris, the best I've seen from this area. My favorite is #2 (might have a slight tilt in the horizon) and #5, I like the detail in the cliff and the colors. I still remember going out there 40 years ago when I a little kid and "hiking in the wilderness". Now there are bridges and sidewalks, its just not the same...

Nice images. I really like the warm colors in the second vertical image.

Morris,
Thanks for sharing those images, they brought back some very fond memories of being there with my dog. He is gone now, but the wonderful memories of the trips he and I made there are not.
Some people were walking two Llamas on leads once when we went there and my dog thought they were just large dogs and wanted to play with them, needless to say the Llamas weren't happy with his presence at all and spit at us.
My favorite is #3, but they are all very nice.

Call me crazy, but I really like that last one. Really neat textures.

I was wondering what that sunrise looked like. I like #2 as well but like the position of 3 and 4.

Good series, but I really like #1 and #3. Wish I would have spent time at this place while I was living there.

Beautiful sunrise, and very cool that you have easy access to a place like this. #3 is a standout to me. Nice work, Morris.

Hi Morris,
Beautiful set of images. I have yet to visit this area; was going to shortly before I moved, but never got the chance.
I really like the 1st and the last one. Nice detail display in the last.

Looks like some serious flare issues or something in the first couple. My favs are the last 2.

Morris, I like #s 3 and 5. I agree with Stan on the flaring. The first two are difficult to interpret due to that...for me. I think #5 is really awesome. If Todd's crazy, so am I.
