Canon is offering rebates on their printers if one would purchase a Canon camera. Question: The Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Inkjet Printer and Canon iP4700 PIXMA Inkjet Photo Printer - are they good printers? Appreciated

I got a 9000 MkI for $100 last year when I bought my 50D and now consider it a bargain. I have never had a single problem with it and have used it to print photos up to 13x19. Some warn against it because it is dye instead of pigment based so does not have the same archival longevity of a pigment, but I figure the photos will outlast me. If you are going to sell the photos then you might want to consider the more expensive pigment printers. For personal use an to make gifts for friends and family it is great--Larry
