Fall Colors Peaking now in North Texas
Fall color is now peaking in north Texas. Many trees seemed to turn early this year however our two best trees are now at peak. The red oaks are looking great all across north Texas and for those luckily enough to be near Cowtown, the Japanese maples are at peak color in the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth.

This is the classic view of the garden taken this morning.

BTW- if you are going there note the JG is not tripod friendly unless you pay $75/hr, it is however monopod friendly! So you might need to bump the iso but not as much as straight handholding.

Wow, this is gorgeous Darren! Love the reflection, composition and, of course, the color. Who cares about the tripod fee - one sale of a print would pay for it easily

I'll leave the 2009 Fall Color thread up for you guys down south if you would like to continue posting there...

And another with some of the Japanese maples.

Glad to hear that the Japanese Gardens do not consider a monopod as a tripod. Tripods are what they use to distinguish professionals from amateurs. Pros get charged the $75 per hour rate. It is even worse for videographers!

You captured some beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing some of the serene beauty of the FTW Japanese Garden.
