The Tower
This well preserved 15 ft. tall Anasazi tower structure is located in a pretty little canyon about 7 miles west of Blanding, Utah close to a well maintained gravel road.

A detailed section where the wall of the ruin meets the sandstone alcove.
Reflected light bounce in this corner was sweet!

Nice work on both, John. The second shot looks familiar.

Thanks Adam, but good grief!
That's the first time I've seen your version of this scene.

That's too funny how we can come away with nearly the same comp from such a unique place. :jump:

These structures always fascinate me when I see them. I like all the different elements you included in the first shot...both are great!

That's some impressive stone masonry! They probably didn't have scaffolding and cranes to help them either. And you came away with some great shots to compliment their long-ago efforts.

Interesting place! The first shot looks a bit "crunchy" to me. Too much contrast. I love the second shot! :toast:

Another for #2, I like the comp in #1, but the bg looks OOF.

#2 is awesome! So is Adam's. I think the Anasazi needed to work on their tooling a little.

John, it never fails to amaze me how many of these ruins are still intact. Great shot on #2.
