Just another image from my jaunt up to the Gothic area about a month ago. Just about got myself stranded up here by getting stuck in the mud, but fortunately was able to get out of it. It was worth it, though, to be in this beautiful area I could never grow tired of.
Work has been keeping me busy, which is good for my pocketbook, but my camera seems to be calling my name lol. Will have a better schedule coming up next month however, so looking forward to getting out over my next days off.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are staying warm.
This image taken in the Gothic area north of Crested Butte.

Oops, that was f/14, not f/24.

I thought Goth snow would be black! What's that? GothIC snow? Oh, never mind...
I like the shot, and know just what you mean about how greasy that road can get. Been there, done that!

The camera is more important than your money, Kelly--i was just reading about a woman photographer up in Boulder who lives in her car so she can continue her passion
Great light on the peak--i like this shot!

Nice crisp, winter feel here Kelly. An experiment more than a critique...I'm wondering what the foreground would add if it were brightened up a bit; looks like some nice color and texture there. Nice work!

I like the subtle light breaking threw the clouds and lighting across the peak..

I agree with Jody about the band of light on the peak. Nice work.
