Above the Dunes...
Here is a little different perspective from 30,000 feet above sea level instead of the 5 feet above ground level we see from the Dunes. There are only a few flight destinations out of Denver which would give you this perspective which is along the PIKES departure, Alamosa (ALS) transition and was taken on the way out of town for Thanksgiving. I did not opt for the window cleaning service fee offered by the airline, so a little dirt on the window.

Neat perspective. I always try and get the window seat when I'm heading over the high country. I love to try and track my progress by picking out landmarks and remembering trips there.

A good method of seeing the aeolian process.... did you know the dunes wouldn't exist without Medano Creek? Something I didn't know until I actually spent some time in the Visitor Center. Wait! Do I see Sta....oh crap already been mentioned, hardy-har

FYI Neil you should get LOWER in the shot! Gosh!

Really cool shot Neil. I've seen this prospective twice. Been about 4 years or so, but on trip out to El Paso I was lucky enough to see it on the way out and on the way back.

Very cool indeed. I've had that view a couple of times, but never with my camera handy. Pretty impressive!
