Finally, a clear night here in Cincy! The moon was hugely bright tonight... to get this, I shot with my 5D2 & 70-200mm at 200mm, 1/400, f/5.6 at ISO 100. The low ISO allowed me to heavily crop (from 5616 px wide down to 720 px to get the tight shot). I know, pretty boring shot... really it was a test for exposure to see what doesn't lose detail. I think I'm more amazed at what today's cameras can do...

Looks like the same moon I shot tonight, just to see what my new lens would do!

Man, the sky has been so clear, this is great... good job Arne!
John, what lens did you get?

With the e-620? 14-42 - already had the 70-300 from my e-500 "collection". :)

Great moon shot.

Thanks Phil, it's just a simple one. I'm just amazed how much we can crop in these days (thanks to these huge sensors) and still have full detail... obviously I can't print it big, but for web it works.

You could always use it in conjunction with another image, Paul. Excellent details and exposure!
Last time I shot the moon (so to speak ) was a few years ago during the lunar eclipse (my wife's 300/2.8 + 2X TC...plus the DX camera I was using at the time).
