I took this yesterday - there was little else about and it was in rather poor light as it was under trees. There is very little editing apart from a slight alteration to the bird itself. I wonder if it is that obvious?
Hi Kim
It's a very nice shot Kim,i have looked long and hard and the only thing that looks a bit odd is the bit under the tail and that's a bit picky. Keith.

Hello Kim.
Nice capture of the Nuthatch and I'm going for the leg.
I think I would crop a bit from the top and also clone out the white bit bottom right.

I'd be quite happy with this shot.
It's a good crisp shot with a complimentary bg and perch.
Nice Nutty Kim. Being picky I would agree with Guy about cloning out the white bit but its bottom left on my screen

Hi and thanks for the comments - I agree I should have cloned out the white bit - thanks for that, what I did do was paint out the ring on the leg. It seems to me sometimes as though every bird in Cheshire has rings on their legs!! Used to think it was a good thing but now it seems rather excessive.

Nice smart Nutty. Got some today and was just about to post one. I'll do a change.

well taken Kim, that's a nice one. Very minor nits already mentioned. I tried to photograph some nuthatches recently but they seemed to have disappeared from my local site, I'm hoping it's just a temporary absence.
You can tell that the lighting condition wasn't great here but I think you have done very well considering. The pose and the catchlight in the eye make the image.

I like the lighting on this, and also your focus on the eye. . I wouldn't have known about the removal of the ring, if you hadn't mentioned it.

Nicely done Kim, would never guessed the ring had been removed, excellent job.

Very nice Kim and a good job on the ring too.

Very nice shot of a nuthatch. I would have kept the ring in the shot if it was mine...but wouldn't have noticed unless you mentioned it.
