I find the leaves on the right a tiny bit distracting but absolutely love the autumnal palette and the lighting.

I love those warm autumnal colours in the background, and as you say, a great little bird.

Hi John
Beautiful bird with a beautiful backdrop though as a crop I'd love to see where you've cropped from. i.e is there any space above or to the right as a slight reframe is all that I could suggest as an improvement. Lovely portrait though

Thanks all.
Hi Andrew- its from a landscape so there is plenty on the right but the offendeing bunch of leaves would need a lot of work. That's why I went squarish. There is a bit top and bottom. I'll have play !
Cheers

Here's a re vamp.Instead of cloning I stretched the canvas a bit at the bottom and more on the right. Saves a bit of time. I think the crop is better. Bit of Neat image too.

Fabulous colours John, (I prefer the second too) and a very underestimated bird. A lovely composition. :toast:
