Here's another shot from an October morning in Eno River State Park, near Durham, NC.

I love to shoot on wet overcast mornings, and this day certainly qualified as that. I'll be interested in the feedback on this shot- there are features that I like very much in this image, but there are other issues that really frustrated me.

Cheers!

The colors and lighting are very good. The bottom left corner is empty though. I'd like to see a pano crop of the bottom to focus on the waterfall and trees above. I agree with you about shooting in overcast lighting, especially in the mountains. The colors are more saturated and no harsh shadows to deal with.

Very good point about the empty space in the bottom left. A crop probably is in order, and the panoramic suggestion would certainly address the issue. On the other hand (and this is hard to see on the size posted here), I like some of the features in the lower right. I'm inclined to also try a smaller crop off the bottom combined with a crop on the left. This would still address some of the empty space, while leaving a bit more of the lower right.

Many thanks for the input.

Beautiful scene, well shot!

If I were cropping, I think a crop from the bottom to make a pano would be awesome too, and I also think this would work well in a square format, with some cropped from the left.
