I took this on my first failed attempt to reach Pam's Grotto. It wasn't a bad consolation for me. Any critique will be appreciated. You folks are great, and I am learning a lot from this forum. I hope.

This is nice, Jan. You've got an interesting waterfall and interesting terrain, and as an aside I wonder whether this might be a double waterfall when there's high water. When I block some of the blinding white of a CSNP page, I can see that you've got good shadow detail in the bluff behind the falls.
On my monitor, the waterfall looks a touch dim. The reds, especially in the dead tree in the foreground left, seem to be a bit over-saturated. I personally would also take out a limb here and there, for example, the fallen branch in the center left foreground.

I agree, appears a bit dark on my monitor, also.
I wonder if trying a white point on the whitest part of the upper falls would change the color scheme?
The leaves on the left center might be cloned out??
Hey, I'm learning, too.
Glad you were out there doing it.

This is a real nice image Jan. Good shadow detail, wide tonal range and rich saturation without being overboard.
My suggestion would be to crop this to as near a 2:3 format as possible (720 pixels wide X 480 pixels high). Crop off most of the area left of the tree and maybe a bit off the right. That action will remove some of the distracting elements in an easy step and place more emphasis on your main subject ... the lovely waterfall.
Real nice work with the exposure. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you for your assistance. I have tried to do all that was suggested. Additional critiques are welcome as needed.
