A few images from our Thanksgiving Escalante NM, Utah trip - warm days and frigid nights, even a little snow. We practically had the place to ourselves.
Sunset light on Sunset Arch - summer light would be lower on the horizon. In winter, the sun drops below the Straight Cliffs before actual sunset. This arch requires a cross-country hike and a scurry back to get to camp before it's pitch black.
Massive alcove along the Escalante River. My wife, Marla and dog, Abby are on the RH side.
That's all for now.

Wow, that second one absolutely GLOWS! Love it! I really like the inclusion of M&A in the last one. I had no idea til I saw them how huge that was.

Awesome, Dave. I love that area. The last one is my fave because of how it shows the massive scale. I also like the sunburst arch shot you sent.

2nd one is my favorite. Last one is really cool how it shows the scale as Jack stated.

Nice shots Dave. I'd bump the contrast in the B&W.

Really nice series!
Good to see some sense of scale in the last one.
#'s 2 & 3 are my favorites with some reservations.
Agree about bumping the contrast in #2, and perhaps cropping off a third from the left. That would leave the most interesting elements in place with more focus on them.
The sandstone wall in #2 looks a bit hot. Darkening and warming it up would be an asset, IMO.

It's a fantastic place to explore, and you've got a range of images that represent the landscape well - broad, sweeping views; intimate life between canyon walls, remarkable geology/topography... They're all wonderful, though #4 resonates with me the most. The sense of scale is what does it for me. You've got me anxious to go back!

One of my favorite areas; I've thought about heading out there in the winter. I really like #2 - I agree about the contrast bump. That alcove looks neat, I love the endless variety when you have time to get off the beaten track. Thanks for sharing!
